This piece is inspired by the peaceful nighttime of a family of owls.
Layers of deep colors evoke the gentle autumn air drifting through the night breeze.
Before falling asleep, the young owls enjoy story time, resting softly on a warm lap.
Perhaps they are reading a story about sweets while sitting atop a fluffy chiffon cake — or maybe they are already dreaming about them. The work was created while imagining this quiet and tender moment of the night.

フクロウたちの穏やかな夜がテーマです。夜の風にほんのり秋の空気を感じるような深い色を重ねました。子どもたちはやわらかなお膝で眠る前の絵本の時間。ふかふかなシフォンケーキの上で、お菓子のお話を読んでいるのかも？もしかしたら、お菓子の夢を見ているのかもしれません。そんな想像をしながら制作しました。
